Laura E. Venegas

Laura E. Venegas received her Lic. Degree (1981) in Meteorology and PhD. (1987) in Atmospheric Science (Meteorology) from the University of Buenos Aires (Argentina). Since 1980, she has been doing research work on atmospheric dispersion modelling and urban air pollution. Since 1990, she has been a Scientific Researcher of the Argentine National Scientific and Technological Research Council (CONICET). From 1980 to 2008 she was on the faculty of the University of Buenos Aires. During 1989-2008 she was Professor of Micrometeorology, Planetary Boundary Layer and Air Pollution in the Department of Atmospheric and Oceanic Science of the University of Buenos Aires. At present, she is a Research Professor and teaches postgraduate courses on Environmental Modelling in the National Technological University of Argentina. Her research interests include air pollution modelling, urban air quality, micrometeorology and small-scale atmospheric processes.
