Silvia Imhoff studied Agricultural Engineering at the National University of Litoral before obtaining a Ms. Sc. and PhD in the department of Soil Science at ESALQ, Sao Paulo University (Brazil) in 2002. She is Professor at the Agricultural Sciences Faculty of the National University of Litoral (Argentina) and researcher at the National Scientific and Technical Research Council. Her main research interests are in studying the interactions between soil, water and plant growth for sustainable agriculture. Areas of interest: Quantify soil physical conditions and limitations to root growth using approaches such as the least limiting water range. Investigate the influence of soil compaction in crop production. Interactions between manure amendments and soil structure regeneration.
