Wayel H. Abdulahad

Wayel H. Abdulahad graduated as clinical biologist in 1990 from the College of Science of the University of Salahaddin, Arbil, Iraq. He received his Ph.D. degree in 2008 from the University of Groningen, The Netherlands. He is currently working as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Department of Rheumatology and Clinical Immunology at the University Medical Center Groningen. His main research is on immune-cellular responses in patients with systemic autoimmune diseases, in particular ANCA-associated vasculitides, systemic lupus erythematosus, Sjögren’s syndrome, and giant cell arteritis.
