Claudia Meyer is currently undertaking a Ph.D. degree through La Trobe University, Melbourne, VIC, Australia, using a knowledge translation approach to falls prevention for persons living with dementia in the community. This Ph.D. builds on her expertise as a Physiotherapist, having worked for many years in the aged care and rehabilitation sector. She has worked for several years at the National Ageing Research Institute, Melbourne, VIC, Australia, undertaking research projects focussed on falls prevention, dementia care, and the role of informal carers, publishing and presenting her work in each of these areas. She is the current National President of the Student and Early Career Group of the Australian Association of Gerontology and the Acting President of the International Association of Gerontology and Geriatrics, Council of Student Organisations.
