Maurizio Peruzzini

Maurizio Peruzzini was born in Florence, Italy, in 1955. After his Laurea cum laude degree from University of Florence, in 1979, advisors L. Sacconi and P. Stoppioni, he moved to ICCOM CNR in 1986, where he is currently a Research Director. Since 2006 he has been appointed as a Project Leader of sustainable chemistry and catalysis at the Department of Molecular Design of CNR. Together with R. Poli he edited the book Recent Advances on Hydride Chemistry. Peruzzini has been the coordinator of several international projects (4th - 6th RFP, INTAS, NATO) and industrial contracts and is currently responsible of FIRENZE HYDROLAB (an integrated laboratory on hydrogen as energy carrier). Peruzzini is or has been member of the planning Committee of the International Conference on Coordination Chemistry (ICCC) and of the International Advisory Board of the Eurasiap Conference on Chemical Sciences, the FIGIPAS meetings, and of the International Conference on Organometallic Chemistry (ICOMC); Peruzzini has been Scientific Secretary of the 33rd ICCC (1998) and Cochairman of the Euroconference MH-2000 (2000). He is Vice-Chairman of the International Symposium on Homogeneous Catalysis (2008). His research interests are primarily in the field of organometallic chemistry and catalysis, activation of elemental phosphorus and water soluble organometallic compounds. He is member of the Editorial Board of European Journal of Inorganic Chemistry and of the Advisory Board of Organometallics. MP has lectured in many universities worldwide and in several important international conferences. He has authored over 250 papers and patents.
