Man Lung Sham Ivan
Man Lung Sham Ivan received his Ph.D. degree in mechanical engineering, HKUST, Hong Kong. He has extensive academic and industry experience in advanced manufacturing of nanocomposites materials and microelectronic packages, along with his multinational R&D experience in universities, research institutes, and companies (Hong Kong, Germany, Japan, and Republic of Korea). He has published over 45 papers, including over 20 in international referred journals. Ivan is currently the immediate past Chairperson of IEEE-CPMT (Hong Kong Chapter). He is the Reviewer of IEEE Transactions on Components and Packaging Technologies, IEEE Transactions on Electronics Packaging Manufacturing, Microelectronics Reliability, Journal of Applied Polymer Science, and Composites Part A. Currently, he is a Senior R&D Manager on advanced packaging technologies, particularly in the areas of system-in-package, automotive electronics and piezoelectric, and thermoelectric energy harvesting. He has been also a part-time lecturer at HKUST. His research interests include nanocomposite manufacturing and characterization, manufacturing process and reliability analysis of advanced electronics packaging, finite element analysis for advanced electronic packages, thermal analysis of polymer, surface characterization, adhesion in multidiscipline materials system, and residual stress measurement.
