Albert Calbet

Albert Calbet received the Ph.D. degree in copepod secondary production at the Institut de Ciències del Mar (ICM CSIC), Barcelona, Spain, and the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya. Calbet is a Postdoc at the Department of Oceanography, University of Hawaii, SOEST. He occupied a Tenured Scientist position in 2006 at the ICM (Barcelona, Spain). In 2009, he was a Scientific Researcher at the same institute. His main research interest includes the ecology of micro- and mesozooplankton in marine environments, the trophic role of zooplankton in marine food webs, and zooplankton ecophysiology (feeding, growth, and reproduction).
