R. Keith Campbell
R. Keith Campbell is the R. Keith Campbell Distinguished Professor in Diabetes Care at the Wash. State Univ. College of Pharmacy where he has taught and done research for over 40 years. He has published over 700 articles mainly on diabetes and it streatment as well as pharmacy practice topics. He recently had a book published by the Amer. Diabetes Assoc. and PDR entitled "Medications for the Treatment of Diabetes". Keith has served on the Board of Directors of the Amer Diabetes Assoc and was a founding member of the Amer. Assoc. of Diabetes Educators. He also served on its board and was given the Distinguished Service Award from AADE. ADA honored him as the Outstanding Health Care Educator in the Field of Diabetes. ONe of his most pretigious honors was being named a recipient of the Paul Parker Medal by the Amer. Coll. of Clinical Pharmacy. He as served as a reviewer for the FDA's Endocrine Drug group and was a member of the Board of Trustees of the Diabetes REsearch and Education Foundation. Keith is a frequent speaker at National Pharmacy Association meetings and Diabetes Association meetings. His University has honored him with several teaching awards and he was named the R. Keith Campbell Distinguished Professor in Diabetes Care at WSU. Keith has personally managed type 1 diabetes for over 59 years.
