Serge Masson is a Research Scientist at the IRCCS - Istituto di Ricerche Farmacologiche “Mario Negri” in Milan, Italy, and Head of the Cardiovascular Endocrinology Unit. He has a Ph.D. degree in biochemistry and molecular biology. His main research interests focus on cardiovascular endocrinology, circulating biomarkers, and clinical trials. He has participated in several national and international multicenter clinical trials and epidemiological studies (Val-HeFT, GISSI-HF, GISSI-AF, PREDICTOR, ALBIOS, DYDA), coordinating biological studies in areas like heart failure, myocardial infarction, atrial fibrillation, diabetes, neurological anesthesia, and sepsis. He is coauthor of more than 100 original publications in peer-reviewed scientific journals.
