Bengi Uslu was born in 1969 in Bolu, Turkey. She received her B.S degree from Faculty of Pharmacy, Ankara University, Ankara, Turkey, as well as her M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in 1993 and 1999, respectively. She was a Visiting Professor with Professor Emil Palecek at the Department of Biophysical Chemistry and Molecular Oncology, Institute of Biophysics in Brno, Czech Republic, with The Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey Fellowship in 2005. She worked there on protein electrochemistry and DNA biosensors. She was an Associate Professor at the Department of Analytical Chemistry, Faculty of Pharmacy, Ankara University, from 2003 to 2009. She received Ankara University Scientific Promotion Award in 2008. Since December 2009, she has been a Professor at the Department of Analytical Chemistry, Faculty of Pharmacy, Ankara University. Her research interest includes DNA biosensors, modified electrodes, drug analysis, electroanalytical chemistry, electroanalysis, and biological sample analysis. She is active as a Referee with Talanta, Analyst, Analytica Chimica Acta, Chromatographia, Analytical Letters, Journal of Chromatographic Science, Chemical Communications, Bioelectrochemistry, Journal of Materials Chemistry, Journal of AOAC International, and others. She has published over 80 research papers in internationally peer-reviewed journals and coauthored one book chapter and 72 conference presentations.
