Xiong-Jun Liu

Xiong-Jun Liu received his Bachelor’s degree in physics from Nankai University and Master's degree from Chern Institute of Mathematics in 2005, and then he worked as a Research Fellow of physics in the National University of Singapore from 2005 to 2007. He received his Ph.D. degree from Texas A&M University in 2011, and now he is a Research Associate in Joint Quantum Institute and Condensed Matter Theory Center, the University of Maryland. His current research interests include (1) condensed matter theory, focused on topological superconductor, topological insulator, and semiconductor spintronics; (2) cold atoms, focused on the simulation of topological states, spin-orbit coupling effects, and many-body states with cold fermions.
