Angelo Guerrasio, Ph.D., M.D., serves as an Associated Professor of internal medicine at the University of Torino, School of Medicine, Department of Clinical and Biological Sciences, S. Luigi Gonzaga hospital. He is a Member of SIES ( Italian Society of Experimental Hematology), GITMO (Gruppo Italiano Trapianti Midollo Osseo), and EBMT (European Bone Marrow Transplantation Group). His research interests include characterization of pathogenetic markers occurring in hematologic neoplasias, use of genetic markers to monitor minimal residual disease in human hematologic malignancies, induction of differentiation in vivo and in vitro of myeloid leukemic cells, clinical trials of high-dose chemotherapy with autologous and allogeneic bone marrow transplant in hematologic malignancies and autoimmune diseases, and reduced intensity conditioning regimens in allogeneic transplant.
