Soren Thor Larsen

Soren Thor Larsen graduated at the University of Copenhagen, Copenhagen, Denmark as a pharmacist and received his M.S. degree in 1998 and his Ph.D. degree in 2002. He was employed at the National Research Centre for the Working Environment as Researcher in 2002 and as Senior Research Scientist in 2004. Larsen was affiliated to the National Jewish Medical and Research Center as Visiting Professor in 2006. His main research interests include mouse models in airway allergy and how data from murine experiments may be interpreted into human. His research area also covers the investigation of the effect of chemicals on the airways (irritation, inflammation, and adjuvant effect) using mice as the model animal. In parallel, his research activities include investigation of toxicological effects of particles, including nanoparticles.
