Siamak Talatahari

Siamak Talatahari received his Ph.D. degree in structural engineering from the University of Tabriz, Tabriz, Iran. After graduation, he joined the University of Tabriz where he currently works as a Professor of structural engineering. He worked as a Visiting Scholar at Iran University of Science and Technology, Tehran, Iran (from autumn to winter 2009). He is the author of 70 papers published in international journals, 30 papers presented at international conferences, and 8 international book chapters. He served as an Associate Editor for two other international journals. Talatahari was recognized as Elite by the Iranian Elites Organization and as the Distinguished Researcher, in 2010 and 2012. He was also selected as a Distinguished Professor of the University of Tabriz, in 2012. His research interests include artificial intelligence and its application in engineering; innovation, extension, and hybridization of optimization methods; artificial neural networks and their application in engineering; optimization of structures; and design and analysis of large-scale structures.
