Katrien S.F. Colman

Katrien S.F. Colman was born in Ghent, Belgium in 1976, and studied logopaedic and audiologic sciences at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Ghent, Ghent, Belgium. After graduating in 1998, she worked as a Speech and Language Pathologist in a private hospital where she mainly diagnosed and treated adults with acquired neurological speech and language impairments. In 2002, her academic studies were continued with the European Master in Clinical Linguistics (EMCL) at the University of Groningen, Groningen, The Netherlands, which was followed in 2004 by a Ph.D. project under the umbrella of the School of Behavioral and Cognitive Neuroscience (BCN) and the Center for Language and Cognition, Groningen (CLCG). Colman is currently working at the University of Groningen, as a Lecturer at the Department of Neurolinguistics of the Faculty of Arts and as a Coordinator of two Erasmus Mundus Masters programs: the EMCL and the Language and Communication Technologies (LCT) master.
