Chris Joslin is currently an Associate Professor at Carleton School of Information Technology, Carleton University, Ottawa, ON, Canada. Joslin received his Ph.D. degree from the University of Geneva, Geneva, Switzerland while studying at MIRALab. He is Member of the Canadian Advisory Committee for Standards Council Canada, where he contributes to Canada’s position in the International Standards Organisation (ISO). He has published numerous conference and journal articles in the area of collaborative virtual reality systems, animation and video adaptation, 3D spatial audio, and medical preoperative planning. His current research interests include preoperative planning and visualization tools for surgery, virtual reality and collaborative virtual environment systems, optical motion capture of soft-body objects, context/content-aware adaptation of streamed media, and real-time 3D dynamics systems.
