Bassem S. Wadie

Bassem S. Wadie was born in June 1967. Wadie graduated from the Medical School, Mansoura University, 1990. He spent 4-year residency in Urology and Nephrology Center, Mansoura University. Wadie had 2 Postgraduate Fellowships: the first at Urology Department, University Hospital in Nijmegen, The Netherlands in 1996 and the second in the University of Virginia, Charlottesville, VA, USA in 1998. Wadie had Medical Doctorate in 2001 and established a voiding dysfunction and urodynamic unit in 1998. Currently, he is the Head of this unit and working as an Assistant Professor of urology. His research interest includes female Incontinent, reconstruction of the lower urinary tract, and management of male incontinence. He developed a technique of bulbourethral sling used for treatment of male incontinence in children and adults. He is a Member of the Editorial Board of the Journal of Urology and the Monitoring Board of the Urinary Incontinence Treatment Network (UITN) of the NIDDK/NIH, USA. He is a reviewer for more than 14 international journals in different fields of medicine.
