Professor and Head of the Department of Experimental Dermatology and Cosmetology, Jagiellonian University, Krakow, Poland. Previously Head of Department of Health Promotion, Institute of Public Health of the same university (2005-2009). Co-founder and scientific director of the Institute of Dermatology in Krakow. Co-founder and co-editor of the "Annals of Agricultural and Environmental Medicine", member of the scientific advisory boards of the journal "Allergologie", "Journal of Investigational Allergology and Clinical Immunology", "The Open Allergy Journal", "International Review of Allergology & Clinical Immunology", and "ISRN Public Health". Editor-in-Chief of the Polish Allergists' Portal "alergologia.org". Founding editor of the journal "Estetologia Medyczna i Kosmetologia". Dermatology and allergology rater for the McMaster Online Rating of Evidence (MORE), PIER, bmjupdates+, and the Evidence-Based Journals. Awards: Howard I. Maibach Award (American Society of Contact Dermatitis, 2003), EAACI Exchange Research Fellowship Award (European Academy of Allergology and Clinical Immunology, 2001), Albert M. Kligman Fellowship (Society for Investigative Dermatology, 2001), President's Award of the Polish Farmers' Insurance Institution (2003), Prof. Mieczyslaw Obtulowicz Honorary Diploma (Polish Allergology Society, 1997), Fellowship of the Polish Science Foundation (1996), Silver Medal "Primus Inter Pares" (1991).
