Naveed Janjua is an Epidemiologist and Senior Scientist at the BC Centre for Disease Control and Clinical Assistant Professor at School of Population and Public Health, University of British Columbia. Janjua is a Medical Doctor with a M.S. degree in epidemiology and biostatistics and Doctorate degree in public health. At BCCDC, his work involves surveillance, research, and policy advices. His research interest includes influenza epidemiology/immunoepidemiology, vaccine effectiveness, hepatitis B and C epidemiology and outcomes, and socioeconomic disparities in health outcomes. His work in global health includes unsafe medical injections and transmission of blood borne pathogens, socioeconomic disparities in health and nutritional transition in developing countries. Janjua also teaches a graduate course on epidemiologic methods at UBC School of Population and Public Health.
