Kazuhiko Kibayashi is Professor and Chairman of Forensic Medicine at the Tokyo Women's Medical University. He received his Medical degree from the Kumamoto University, Kumamoto, Japan, and served as Professor of forensic medicine at the Saga University, Saga, Japan. Dr. Kibayashi specializes in the forensic neuropathology and neurotraumatology. His research has focused on nerve cell degeneration caused by head injury, neuropathy caused by abnormal environments, and the relationship between accidents and dementia among the elderly. He continues to pursue the research, identifying important issues in the course of his forensic practice and verifying them through methods including experiments on animals that employ basic laboratory procedures.
