Shengchang Xiang obtained his Ph.D. degree in 2003 from Fuzhou University, Fuzhou, China. He then joined Prof. Xin-Tao Wu’s Group in Fujian Institute of Research on the Structures of Matter, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Fuzhou, China, as a Postdoctoral Fellow and then an Associate Professor (2003–2007). After four-year Postdoctoral Fellowship in the University of Texas at San Antonio, Tex, USA, with Prof. Banglin Chen, Xiang served as a Professor of chemistry at Fujian Normal University, Fuzhou, China. His research interest focuses on porous hybrid materials relevant to energy and environmental concerns.
