Frank J. Jenkins

Frank J. Jenkins received B.A. and M.S. degrees in biology from the University of North Texas and a Ph.D. degree in microbiology from the Pennsylvania State University, School of Medicine. He spent three years as a Postdoc Fellow in the Laboratory of Dr. Bernard Roizman at the University of Chicago. His training is in the field of molecular virology, and his research interests focus on the human herpes viruses, especially Kaposi’s sarcoma-associated herpes virus. He also has an interest in biobehavioral medicine with a focus on the effects of stress on DNA damage and viral reactivation.
