Aaron S. Dumont
Aaron S. Dumont holds an M.D. degree and is currently the Charles B. Wilson Professor and Chairman of the Department of Neurological Surgery at Tulane University, New Orleans, LA, USA. He has clinical interests in all aspects of neurosurgery with special interest in cerebrovascular and endovascular neurosurgery and is fellow trained in open microsurgical, endovascular techniques, and radiosurgery. His laboratory research efforts, currently funded by NIH, focus on the role of inflammation and oxidative stress in the formation, progression, and rupture of cerebral aneurysms and translational research focuses on cerebral vascular disease and stroke. He is a Fellow of the American Heart Association (Stroke Council), has more than 200 publications, serves on the editorial board of multiple journals, and is involved in national and international neurosurgery and stroke societies.
