William I. Woods

William I. Woods received a Ph.D. degree (1986) in geography, an M.A. degree (1973) in geography, and a B.A. degree with distinction (1970) in anthropology, all from the University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee, USA. His research responsibilities were among directing field investigations in the United States, Middle and South America, and Europe; serving as Principal Investigator on over 110 externally funded projects totaling over $5,500,000. His primary research interests are among abandoned settlements, anthropogenic environmental change, cultural landscapes, soils and sediments, and traditional settlement-subsistence systems.
