Jacques Georgy received his Ph.D. degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Queen’s University, Canada in 2010. He received the B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in Computer and Systems Engineering from Ain Shams University, Egypt, in 2001 and 2007, respectively. He is currently working in positioning and navigation systems for vehicular, machinery and personal applications with Trusted Positioning Inc., Calgary, AB, Canada. He is a recipient of “Alberta Innovates – Technology Futures” Industry r&D Associates Grant, Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council (NSERC) Industrial R&D Fellowship (IRDF), and IEEE Kingston section Research Excellence award for 2010. He is also a member of the Navigation and Instrumentation Research Group with the Royal Military College of Canada, and with the Department of Computer and Systems Engineering, Ain Shams University. His research interests include linear and nonlinear state estimation, positioning and navigation by INS/GPS integration, multi-sensor fusion, autonomous mobile robot navigation, and underwater target tracking.
