Maeve Duffy graduated from the National University of Ireland, Galway, Ireland, with a B.E. degree in electronic engineering in 1992 and with a Ph.D. degree in 1997. She then spent 4 years as a Research Officer at the Tyndall National Institute, Cork, working on the European and industry sponsored projects in the area of planar magnetics. She has been carrying out in her current lecturing role in electrical and electronic Engineering at the NUI, Galway, since 2001. Her current research interests include planar magnetics and power electronics for energy harvesting, wireless power systems, and wearable applications.
