Peter Bannas M.D. is a Privatdozent (Associate Professor) at the Department of Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology at the University Hospital Hamburg-Eppendorf (UKE) in Hamburg, Germany. His research is focused clinically on cardiovascular magnetic resonance imaging and pre-clinically on antibody-based molecular imaging. Active clinical projects include 4D flow MRI of the aortic root in patients with Marfan syndrome. Active pre-clinical projects focus on nanobody (single chain variable fragment)-based imaging and therapy of lymphomas. Dr. Bannas was awarded the “Wilhelm-Conrad-Röntgen”-Price through the German Roentgen Society (DRG) in 2016 for his work in the field of nanobody-based imaging of T-cells and lymphomas.
