Hans Klingemann is a Professor at the Division of Hematology/Oncology, Department of Medicine, and the Director of the Bone Marrow and Hematopoietic Cell Transplant Program at Tufts Medical Center in Boston. He also directs an NIH funded research laboratory on stem cell transplant research at the Molecular Oncology Research Institute at the same institution. He came to his current position from Rush University Medical Center where he served as the Chief of the Section of Bone Marrow and Stem Cell Transplant. He was also the Founder and the Director of the Sramek Laboratory for Human Cell Engineering at Rush. Dr. Klingemann has written and edited several books and over 150 publications on bone marrow and stem cell transplant. He serves as an editor and a reviewer of several transplant journals and is a Reviewer for the National Heart Lung and Blood Institute. He holds numerous patents and is one of the first to describe the role cord mesenchymal stem cells in transplant.
