Alessandro Isidori
0000-0002-5723-9229Isidori Alessandro is a recipient of the M.D. degree. He is an Attending Physician at the Division of Hematology and Stem Cell Transplant Centre at San Salvatore Hospital, Pesaro, Italy. He graduated magna cum laude in 1999 from the Bologna University School of Medicine, Bologna, Italy. Afterwards, he obtained his specialization in hematology and medical oncology in 2004 at the Bologna University School of Medicine, after a 7-year internship at the Institute of Hematology and Medical Oncology "Seragnoli," Bologna, Italy. Finally, he got his Ph.D. degree in experimental and clinical hematology in 2007 from the Bologna University School of Medicine. Alessandro is mainly involved in clinical trials for the treatment of chronic and acute leukemias, multiple myeloma, lymphomas, and stem cell mobilization and transplantation. He has worked extensively in the area of cell therapy at the Centre for Stem Cell Research of the Bologna University. Alessandro is coauthor of 45 full papers published on journals quoted in the Current Contest Index (Total Impact Factor >200), of several abstracts published on journals quoted in the Current Contest Index, and of a few chapters of books on hematological malignancies. He is a Member of the American Society for Blood and Marrow Transplantation (ASBMT), European Hematology Association (EHA), American Society of Hematology (ASH), and Stem Cell Research (SCR). He was awarded the European Hematology Association Clinical Research Grant during the opening ceremony of the 10th EHA International Congress (Stockholm, Sweden) on June 2nd, 2005, for the project Adoptive Immunotherapy of High Risk Acute Myeloblastic Leukemia Patients Using Haploidentical KIR ligand-Mismatched Natural Killer cells.
