Denver Faron Cheddie received his Ph.D. degree in mechanical engineering from Florida International University in 2006. Previously, he earned a B.S. and M.Phil. degrees in mechanical engineering from the University of the West Indies. His research has included modeling of PEM fuel cells, dynamic system simulation of solid oxide fuel cells, modeling of VAPEX processes for heavy oil recovery, and reverse osmosis processes for desalination. He is also a Reviewer for the Journal of Power Sources, the International Journal of Hydrogen Energy, and Desalination. Dr. Cheddie presently serves as an Assistant Professor at the University of Trinidad and Tobago. His areas of expertise include modeling and simulation of engineering systems and processes and he is interested in developing and stimulating research in fuel cells and renewable technologies locally.
