S. Chandrasekar received the B.E. degree in electrical and electronics engineering from Thiagarajar College of Engineering, Madurai, India, in 1996, the M.E degree in power systems from Coimbatore Institute of Technology, Coimbatore, India, in 2001, and the Ph.D. degree from the Indian Institute of Technology Madras, Chennai, India, in 2005. Chandrasekar was a Postdoc Research Fellow at the University of Bologna, Bologna, Italy, from 2005 to 2006. Currently, Chandrasekar is working as a Dean (R&D) and Professor at Sona College of Technology, Salem, India, and Head of SonaPERT (Sona Electric Power Engineering Research and Testing Centre). Chandrasekar is the recipient of the Career Award for Young Teachers from AICTE, New Delhi, Research Award from UGC, New Delhi, and Best Teacher Award from NGI, Coimbatore. Chandrasekar completed many government sponsored and industrial funded research projects in the areas of high voltage insulation system, electric power engineering, signal processing, and soft computing techniques. Chandrasekar is the author/coauthor of more than 125 research papers published in various international journals and conferences. Chandrasekar is also a Member of IEEE, ISTE, and IE.
