Shoji Ichikawa
Shoji Ichikawa was born in Nagano, Japan in 1972. He received a B.S. degree with honors in biological sciences and Ph.D. degree in biochemistry from the University of Missouri in 1996 and 2002, respectively. Since 2002, he has been with the Division of Endocrinology and Metabolism, School of Medicine, Indiana University, first as a Postdoctoral Fellow and presently as an Assistant Research Professor. Ichikawa’s research interest is genetics of metabolic bone disorders, specifically, genetics of osteoporosis and disorders of phosphate homeostasis. He has published extensively and received multiple awards in the area of bone and mineral metabolism.
