Yongli Song currently works at the Department of Mathematics, Tongji University, Shanghai, China. He received the Ph.D. degree in Applied Mathematics from Shanghai Jiao Tong University Shanghai, China, in 2005. As a postdoctoral researcher, he worked at the Instituto Pluridisciplinar, Universidad Complutense de Madrid, Spain, in 2007, and as a visiting research fellow, he worked at the Curtin University of Technology, Australia, in 2008, and the Western Ontario University, Canada, in 2012. His current research interests include neural networks, collective dynamics of delay-coupled systems, bifurcation theory of delay differential equations, and pattern formation in developmental biology. He has published more than forty academic papers in international journals.
