Peter Nilsson is an Associate Professor of biotechnology at the Depatment of Proteomics at the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH), Stockholm, Sweden. He took his Ph.D. degree in biotechnology at KTH in 1998. He has been the Head of the KTH Microarray Center between 1999 and 2008, with massive production and analysis of various types of DNA microarrays within the KTH Genome Center. He has since 2002 also been heading the protein array activities within the Human Protein Atlas project (http://www.proteinatlas.org). The main focus is on the development and utilization of array-based technologies for validation of antibodies and for systematic antigen- and antibody-based plasma profiling. He has been a Member of the HUPO since 2003.
