Giorgio Bellotti is assistant professor of Coastal and Harbour Engineering at the University of Roma Tre (Rome, Italy). His research interests are: -numerical modelling of short/long waves in the nearshore -tsunami generation and propagation -field measurement of long waves in harbours and in deep waters -wave structures interaction -wave energy converters. He has participated several research projects and he is currently coordinating a EU Hydralab project, and research units in the EU project 'MERMAID' (http://www.mermaidproject.eu/) and in the Italian project 'Submarine Multidisciplinary Observatory' (http://web.infn.it/smo/). He is author of more than 80 publications in the field of Coastal Engineering, published on international journals and conference proceedings.
