Anandan Rangasamy, holder of the M.S., B.Ed., M.Phil., and Ph.D. degrees, works as Senior Scientist at Biochemistry and Nutrition Division, Central Institute of Fisheries Technology, Cochin, India, from 1999 till now. The title of the Ph.D. thesis is "Biochemical studies on the preventive effects of P. kurroa on experimental hepatitis in rats." Rangasamy is presently doing research on nutritional significance of PUFA, chitin, chitosan, and squalene in experimentally induced myocardial infarction and diabetes in rats and has knowledge of operating GCMS, HPLC, preparative HPLC, AAS, amino acid analyzer, electrophoresis, and so on. Rangasamy also has experience in analyzing pesticide residues, antibiotic residues, anabolic steroids, and aflatoxin in biological samples.
