Giuseppe Patti was born on October 31, 1967 in Reggio Calabria, Italy. He holds an M.D. degree. He works as an Assistant Professor in cardiology at the Campus Bio-Medico University of Rome and Professor at the Fellowship School in Cardiology and Endocrinology. He also worked as Clinical/Interventional Cardiologist at the same university. Patti serves as a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology, Member of the Working Group on Interventional Cardiology of the European Society of Cardiology, Member of the Working Group on Thrombosis of the European Society of Cardiology, and Elected Member of the National Council of the Italian Society of Cardiovascular Researches (2007-2008 and 2011-2013). Patti was awarded the Italian Society of Cardiovascular Researches Award in 2000, the Young Interventional Cardiologist Award of the Italian Society of Interventional Cardiology in 2001, the Scholar in Cardiology Award of the Italian Society of Cardiology in 2009, Letter of Appreciation by the Korean Society of Cardiology for the scientific career in 2010, and Melvin Jones Fellowship by the Lions Club Foundation (Chicago, Ill, USA) in 2010, for dedicated humanitarian services in the medical field. He serves as a Manuscript Reviewer of JACC, European Heart Journal, Atherosclerosis, American Journal of Cardiology, among others. He is the author of 60 manuscripts on peer-review journals, 10 invited articles, 6 book chapters, and 335 abstracts presented at national or international meeting.
