Paul Heslop was born in Wolverhampton, UK, in 1975. He received a first class undergraduate degree from Keble College, Oxford, M.A. (Oxon) degree in mathematics in 1997, M.A.S. degree from Trinity College Cambridge in 1998, and a Ph.D. degree in theoretical physics from King's College London in 2001 under the supervision of Professor P. Howe. He held postdoctoral positions in Halle Hamburg 2001-2003, Leipzig 2003-2004, Cambridge 2004-2006, and Queen Mary University of London 2006-2009. Heslop is now a permanent Lecturer at the Department of Mathematical Sciences at Durham University. His research interests include supersymmetric field theories, in particular N=4 super Yang-Mills, scattering amplitudes, and AdS/CFT.
