Zdenek Hel

Zdenek Hel received the M.S. degree in 1990 at Charles University, Prague, Czech Rebpulic and the Ph.D. degree in 1997 at McGill University, Montreal, QC, Canada. From 1997 to 2002, he has a postdoctoral fellow at the Animal Models and Retroviral Vaccines Section (under Dr. G. Franchini), National Cancer Institute, National Institutes of Health, Bethesda, Md, USA. Since 2003, Hel has been Assistant Professor at the Department of Pathology, UAB as well as Assistant Professor at the Department of Microbiology, UAB. He has been an Associate Scientist at the Center for AIDS Research, UAB since 2003, Associate Scientist at Mucosal HIV and Immunobiology Center since 2004, Associate Scientist at Gene Therapy Center since 2005, and Associate Scientist at Comprehensive Cancer Center since 2006.
