Maria Rambla Alegre
Maria Rambla-Alegre earned the Ph.D. degree from the Organic Chemistry Department, the Gent University, Belgium. Her field of expertise is analytical chemistry. She has developed and validated a large variety of works for the determination of different drugs (antibiotics, antidepressants, biogenic amines, among others) in biological and food samples. She is an expert in the liquid chromatography and electrophoresis techniques. She was awarded by the Spanish government to carry out her research due to the excellent marks obtained in the Chemistry degree. Throughout her scientific career, she has published more than 20 articles in international scientific journals of recognised prestige. Moreover, she has presented a more than 40 communications in international symposia. She was awarded by HPLC Inc. with a Student Travel Award to attend the 35th International Symposium on High Performance Liquid Phase Separations and Related Techniques, HPLC2010 in Boston, USA. She has also taught chemistry and engineering degree courses as well as M.A. courses. She has published more 19 teaching articles and presented 18 communications in teaching symposia. She has actively participated in 19 educational improvement projects (two as a Director) to improve the quality of several subjects at the university learning level.
