Adnan K. Shaout

Adnan k. Shaout is currently a Full Professor in the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department at the University of Michigan-Dearborn. Dr. Shaout has obtained his B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees in computer engineering from Syracuse University, Syracuse, NY, in 1982, 1983, 1987, respectively. His current research is in engineering applications of fuzzy set theory, computer architecture, computer arithmetics, real-time systems, and artificial intelligence. Dr. Shaout has more than 23 years of experience in teaching and conducting research in the electrical and computer engineering fields at Syracuse University and the University of Michigan-Dearborn. He has been with the University of Michigan-Dearborn since 1987. Dr. Shaout has published over 100 papers in topics related to electrical and computer engineering fields. At present, he teaches courses in fuzzy logic and engineering applications, computer design (hardware and software), microprocessors, and embedded system design.
