Maricar Prudente

Maricar Prudente was born on August 1, 1959, in Iloilo, Philippines. She achieved the Ph.D. degree in environmental chemistry and ecotoxicology, Ehime University, Japan, 1999. Since December 2010, Prudente has been the President of the Society of Philippine Ronpaku Fellows (PRFs). In November 2003, she was the Scientific and Technical Advisory Panel Secretariat at the United Nations Environment Programme. Since January 1992, she has been a Member of the Japan Society for Environmental Chemistry. Moreover, she has been a Member of the Philippine Association of Japan Ministry of Education Scholars (PHILAJAMES) since 1993.
