Ruben Queiro-Silva is an M.D. and a Ph.D. degrees holder. He has been a Resident physician in the specialty of rheumatology at the Hospital Universitario Central de Asturias (HUCA), Oviedo, Spain, from 1990 to 1994. He has an M.S. degreeas well in occupational risk prevention and ergonomics specialty. He is the author and coauthor of numerous articles in indexed journals, several chapters in rheumatology and ophthalmology textbooks, and numerous posters and oral presentations in national and international rheumatology meetings. He received award for excellence in research from the Spanish Society of Rheumatology. Queiro-Silva is a Member of the Spanish Group for the Study of Spondyloarthropathies (GRESSER), external Professor at the European University of Madrid, AND Member of the international group for the assessment of psoriatic arthritis (GRAPPA). His main research interests lie in the field of genotype-phenotype interactions in psoriatic arthritis, immunogenetic basis of psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis, and cardiovascular comorbidities of psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis.
