Nicolas Avdelidis

Nicolas Avdelidis holds B.E., M.S., M.E., and Ph.D. degrees. He works as a materials engineer with working experience in research programs dealing with materials characterization and nondestructive testing (NDT) on various applications, including aerospace and composites. He has managed more than 20 research projects (mostly European-funded projects). Avdelidis also has an extensive publications list of more than 100 research papers in scientific journals, books, and conference proceedings and has completed more than 50 technical reports for research programs and deliverables. Moreover, he serves as an Associate Professor at Laval University, Quebec City, QC, Canada, working closely with the Vision and Digital Systems Laboratory. Avdelidis is also a Member of the new ISO TC 163 SC1 WG15 for the development of the new ISO standard for thermography, a Licensed Instructor for the Infrared Training Center (ITC) for thermography levels, and an expert on thermographic NDT.
