Palle E. Jorgensen

University of Iowa, USA

Palle Jorgensen a Professor of mathematics, teaching at the University of Iowa, Iowa City, USA; and had taught at Stanford University, at Aarhus University, Denmark, as well as at the University of Pennsylvania. He is a Research Mathematician, funding from the National Society Foundation (the US NSF), with research papers appeared in international scientific journals, mathematical journals, both pure and applied (operator algebras and harmonic analysis), and mathematical physics (quantum theory). His recent research includes wavelet theory, subdivision algorithms, spectral-tile duality, scaling, and fractals. For two recent books, see one from 2002, a wavelet book with Ola Bratteli; and a solo GTM Springer book from 2006. See also http://www.math.uiowa.edu/~jorgen. His research areas include functional analysis, wavelets, fractals, applied harmonic analysis, mathematical physics, operator theory, operator algebras, and representation theory.
