Palle E. Jorgensen
I am a Professor of mathematics, teach at the University of Iowa, Iowa City, USA; and I have taught at Stanford University, at Aarhus University, Denmark; and at the University of Pennsylvania. I am a research mathematician,-- funding from the Natl. Sci. Foundation (the US NSF),-- my research papers have appeared in international scientific journals,-- math, both pure and applied (operator algebras, and harmonic analysis), and mathematical physics (quantum theory). My recent research includes wavelet theory, subdivision algorithms, spectral-tile duality, scaling and fractals. For two recent books, see one from 2002. a wavelet book with Ola Bratteli; and a solo GTM Springer book from 2006. See http://www.math.uiowa.edu/~jorgen . Research areas: functional analysis, wavelets, fractals, applied harmonic analysis, mathematical physics, operator theory, operator algebras, representation theory.
