Chi Tay Tsai
Chi Tay Tsai is a Professor of mechanical engineering at Florida Atlantic University, Fla, USA. Before joining the FAU faculty in August 1990, he was a Research Scientist at the Air Force Institute of Technology. He is the author and coauthor of 85 articles in the national/international journals and conferences. Dr. Tsai is one of the very first pioneers for modeling the dislocation multiplication in semiconductor crystals and has made significant contributions for developing a computational model to predict the quantity of dislocations generated in the semiconductor crystals grown from the melt. Dr. Tsai's other research works are the computational modeling of composite laminated plates and shells and fretting fatigue. Currently, his work is emphasized on computational modeling of fluid-structure interaction of turbine blade for underwater power generator. Dr. Tsai received his Ph.D. degree in engineering mechanics from the University of Kentucky at 1995.
