Katarzyna Kulig serves as an Associate Professor of pharmaceutical chemistry at the Faculty of Pharmacy, Jagiellonian University Medical College, Kraków, Poland. She obtained an M.S. degree in chemistry in 1996 from the Jagiellonian University. In 2001, she then obtained a Ph.D. degree with distinction from the Jagiellonian University Medical College. In years 2003–2005, she was a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Faculty of Pharmacy, Ludwig-Maximilian University, Munich, Germany, working on the synthesis of cyclic amino acids. In 2010, she obtained a Habilitation degree from the Jagiellonian University Medical College. Her research interests include the design and development of new antiepileptic compounds, stereocontrol in organic synthesis, and the determination of the physicochemical properties of organic compounds.
