Enda Murphy is a Lecturer in planning at the School of Geography, Planning and Environmental Policy at University College Dublin, Dublin, Ireland. He holds a B.A. degree in natural science, Postgraduate Diploma in statistics, and Ph.D. degree in transportation planning all from Trinity College Dublin (TCD), Ireland. Prior to being appointed at UCD, he worked as an Environmental Protection Agency and Science Foundation Ireland Research Fellow at the Department of Mechanical Engineering, where he undertook research in the area of environmental acoustics. His research areas are urban transportation and spatial planning, environmental noise, the creative economy, and related issues. He has published widely in the international literature including such journals as Environment International, Journal of Environmental Management, Transportation Research A and D, Urban Studies, Town Planning Review, and Cities and Applied Acoustics. He is the author/coauthor of more than 30 academic journal papers, book chapters, conference papers, and reports.
