L.S. Cavalcante
Laécio Santos Cavalcante graduated in full degree in chemistry from the State University of Piauí (UESPI), Teresina, PI, Brazil (2002-2). He obtained his M.S. degree in physical chemistry from the Federal University of Piauí (UFPI) ), Teresina, PI, Brazil (2005-1), and his Ph.D. degree in inorganic chemistry from the Federal University of São Carlos (UFSCar), São Carlos, SP, Brazil (2009-2). He completed his 3-year postdoctoral studies at São Paulo State University (UNESP), Araraquara, SP, Brazil (2012-2). Cavalcante is currently on scholarship for scientific CNPq regional level C in chemistry of materials (LIMAV-UFPI) inorganic materials and researching families scheelite/wolframite with formula [ABO4], tungstates and molybdates with formula [A2BO4/AB2O8], and also some perovskites [ABO3]. Its main objective is the structural analysis/investigation of electronic, photocatalytic, and photoluminescent properties of these materials in crystalline/amorphous or ordered/unordered, as well as studying the influence of different compositions of network modifiers (A = Ca, Ba, Sr, Zn, Fe, Co, and Mn) and forming network (B = Ti, Zr, W, and Mo) in electronic structure and physicochemical properties of this material. The synthetic methods used are polymeric precursor hydrothermal/solvotérmico conventional hydrothermal and solvotérmico assisted by microwaves.
